About the Pictorial script

Writing developed in China during the period between 3000-1600 B.C.The writing script developed at that time is called the Pictorial Script.In this script the pattern was that one sign stood for one word.The script was written from top to bottom.This script was called Pictorial because Pictorial means 'expressed by pictures'.
